Ingredients for Truffle Oil Shepherd’s Pie:

1 kilogram ground beef 1 kilogram ground buffalo or lamb 1 large diced onion 1 large grated carrot 1 cup grated butternut squash Salt and pepper 1-2 teaspoons red pepper flakes 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 2 kilograms peeled potatoes 1 tablespoon butter ½ cup cream ½ cup grated gruyere cheese 1 tablespoon truffle oil Instructions: Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Place the meats in a low-fat content pan. Cook lightly, stirring frequently until the meats start to brown. Add the onion, carrot, and butternut squash. Continue cooking gently for about 10 minutes. Mix in all the spices and Worcestershire sauce. Continue this process for another 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the potatoes in lightly salted boiling water until tender. Drain thoroughly. Mash the potatoes with butter, hot cream, truffle oil, salt, pepper, and cheese. Spread the mashed potatoes over the meat. Sprinkle cheese and truffle oil on top of the meat. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the cheese turns golden. Serve immediately after cooking. Enjoy your meal!
